8 Subscriptions to Grow Your Amazon Business

Although we started out our Amazon business with very minimal tools (read: basically nothing except $100 and a lot of hustle), once we started growing, we realised that the right subscriptions could make all the difference in our profit and business growth. You know it, and we know it—starting a business is challenging and time consuming, however, there are tools out there to not only help you become more efficient, but will also help you scale and grow your business. Note: All of these recommendations are assuming you already have a professional Amazon Seller account.

Our goal is to help smooth the way for you so you can skip a few of the bumps that happen for Amazon FBA sellers. Here are our recommended subscriptions that we use to run our Amazon business. These are tried and true programs that we use ourselves to keep things running smoothly.

Inventory Lab

If you’ve been around Amazon selling and FBA sites, you’ve surely heard of Inventory Lab. This listing software tool has quickly gained a solid following because it’s proved itself over and over again as a tool that truly serves sellers, saving time and maximizing profits. We love it. When people have a limited budget but are ready to start investing in time-saving subscriptions, we recommend Inventory Lab along with Keepa (read below) as the first tools to invest in because it is such a huge time saver!

This listing software integrates with the Amazon Pro Seller subscription account, and it also includes the mobile sourcing app of Scoutify 2 with your subscription. Scoutify 2 is our preferred scanning app while sourcing in stores, as the data is much cleaner to look at, and it integrates Keepa, allows you to quickly apply to get ungated, and shows you your selling history of the item you are scanning (see more information below).

Inventory Lab streamlines inventory listing, offers useful reports, makes printing labels a breeze, and ensures a more streamlined packing process. While your business can opt to use the free listing process through Seller Central, it is not as efficient. With a quick desktop barcode scanner or by typing in the UPC, each new item can be pulled into the Inventory Lab listing system where it shows FBA, Merchant, new, and used prices. The program outlines the item’s ranking, category, and prep needed. You can also input additional information that can be generated into future reports.

Inventory Lab reports reveal your profit and loss, profitability of your inventory, and sales tax. You can keep track of inventory from different suppliers, check store profitability, and analyze entire categories of your inventory. This is incredibly helpful during tax time, where you can print out the relevant reports for your accountant.These reports have also helped us greatly as we can analyze which stores, categories, etc., are the most profitable.

Scoutify 2

Scoutify has made sourcing for product so much easier because it uses your phone to scan the barcode of an item, and then you can quickly make a decision of whether it’s a good buy or not. Scoutify shows the item’s stock, potential profit, ROI, sales rank, and so much more. This app has helped us a ton, and it has also helped as we’ve trained other people to search for inventory.

Scoutify can be used on multiple devices at a time (so, you can have one login and both you and your partner can use it at the same time), and it has so many useful features. Obviously, the main ones to use includes its quick scanning, the accurate ROI, and profit, but once you begin using Scoutify, you may find other features that will work well for your business. As we mentioned above, it integrates Keepa, and also offers a quick way to apply to get ungated. No more trying to fumble around with multiple browsers on your phone!

The Amazon seller app does scan items, however there are a lot of “gaps” in information that could lead to bad buys. Scoutify 2 helps you get the whole picture of what you are buying. A few of the features that set Scoutify 2 apart are its detailed search results, in-app restrictions notification, and one-click research. No longer do you have to make guesses about product, whether it has the right ROI, rank, or if it’s restricted. This is a game changer! Keepa

Deal hunters rejoice. Along with Inventory Lab, we believe Keepa is the most crucial tool when growing your Amazon FBA business. It’s usually the first tool we recommend to sellers who are ready to start investing in subscriptions. Keepa offers loads of data on the history of products from sales to stock. This tool gathers pricing information across Amazon marketplaces in multiple countries while offering price tracking for millions of products. It features deals, tracking, and product data.

Through extensive filter options, including categories such as new, refurbished, used, collectible, pricing, discount ranges, and more, it’s easy to keep an eye on specific products. Keepa allows you to set alerts too. With all of this data, Keepa allows users to explore inventory with its features of product finder, product viewer, best seller lists, top seller lists, category tree, and its Keepa API.

Note: The Keepa API offers downloadable information about products, which can be very helpful as you scout new markets or products.

One of the most useful features in our opinion is the price graph and sales history that comes under every product. Like any new tool, Keepa can seem overwhelming at first with its colorful graphs, but you will quickly catch on in how to use these to benefit your Amazon business. The amount of information offered on product pricing can reveal the best times to buy, sell, or resell. There is a free version, however that only shows the price history. The paid version unlocks sales rank, buy box history, review history, and more.

Amazon Repricers

A big key to success for any Amazon business is a good repricing tool. While it’s possible for you to maintain your inventory yourself , altering prices as needed, it’s an extremely time-consuming task as your inventory grows. Every seller is competing for the Amazon buy box, which is where most consumers buy from. If your product is in the buy box, hello profit! 

Note: If you are just starting out and have a small amount of inventory, wait to get this product, but still read on so you can make an informed decision later on!

So your Amazon business has exploded, and it’s bigger than ever. This is when Seller Snap comes in as the perfect repricer tool. To be straight up with you, we believe Seller Snap is best for a large Amazon seller business, so if your business is still on the smaller side, we suggest using Aura due to Seller Snaps price.
